Thanks for watching. This was going to be my best video yet, but I lost almost all of the good footage into the void. I have no idea how or why that happened, as it was backed up. Until next time.

Hello, thanks for watching. Hope you enjoyed the video. For those who are curious, this is the Wall of Sharks Dive in the South Pass of Fakarava. An average of 700 sharks group together on an incoming tide. Videos hardly pick up how many there truly were. Hi, sorry for the delay on posting videos. Thanks for the incredible amount of positive feedback many you have given me on the passage videos. In this video I do a boat tour. If there is anything I missed that you wanted me to cover, ask in the comments and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. I’m starting a 3 day passage tonight and won't have internet until I anchor. Thanks again for wat...

Hey, thanks for watching! I hope you enjoyed this video series. It was a huge relief to get settled after so long alone on a boat constantly being thrown around. Next I'll be making a boat tour, and videos exploring these islands and atolls.

I’m Garrett. I’m 19 years old, and for the last year and a half, I’ve been learning to solo sail the Hawaiian Islands and preparing my boat, a Nor’sea 27 to travel the world. After months at the dock getting ready to leave Hawaii I finally set sail for French Polynesia. Now I’m entering the doldrums at 4 degrees north after an 11-day and 1,100 nautical mile mostly upwind bash from Hawaii. Thank...

I'm Garrett. I'm 19 years old, and for the last year and a half I've been learning to solo sail the Hawaiian Islands and prepping my boat, a Nor'sea 27 to travel the world. After months at the harbor working on my boat, it's time to leave the dock and sail to French Polynesia. This is a 2,400 nautical mile upwind trip and should take about 25 days. Thanks for watching the first 11 days of my pa...

My hardest sail yet

After sailing around Kauai for a few weeks, I had a decent weather window to get back to my home port, Oahu. I faced strong currents, 30-knot winds, and rough seas. I then document some of my more random adventures on the island of Oahu. Thanks for watching; if you enjoyed the video, please like and subscribe! follow me on Instagram: garrett.tarter
Sailing alone overnight to Kauai and escaping huge swell

I’m Garrett, at 17 years old I decided I didn’t want to take the standard college route so I made the spontaneous decision to buy a sailboat with money I worked for and set out to sail around the world. Right now I am sailing around the Hawaiian Islands and preparing my boat, a Nor’sea 27, as well as myself for a big passage to French Polynesia when hurricane season comes to an end. In this vid...

After 72 hours with limited sleep you will definitely start hallucinating! After dark I would set an alarm for 20 minutes, sleep, wake up and check around and get 20 more. But you can only do that so long before you start making bad mistakes!
Does anyone know wher Garrett is from??
I have really enjoyed ur journey thank you for taking us with you, safe travels and may God be with you.. Thank you again!!!
the people on the radio could have being pirates bro
Should get Elon Musk to gift you one of his satellite thingy
Garret, watching your videos made me feel like you are my buddy and I am checking with you from time to time whenever you share a video. About your acnes. Yes, it’s good that you are following a strict diet but I think your situation requires external applications as well. Try to pick up some face washes/creams for acne-prone skin. They will speed up the healing process. I hope in the next video your generator problem will be solved. I am happy to see you have even more Patreon supporters now! Also, this was another great video! Stay safe!
nice
Love this channel ! Subbed. don't know how you got the balls to do this trip, entirely alone, on a relatively small boat, across a vast ocean susceptible to incredible power of nature and frequented with reefs and hazards. I mean what happens if you get appendicitis half way between Bora Bora and Aitutaki, you're alone and its blowing 35 knots??!! I envy your courage to be honest with you. What is the secret to under taking such a journey???!!
привет класс красиво!!! Сколько кораблик стоит если не секрет? приблизительно?
What a beautiful place! How brave are you!?!! Sweet drone footage, it really dose add a ton to the video.
Just started watching your videos yesterday mate, absolutely incredible watching your passage. I heard you mention New Zealand on your list, I'm from a small town in New Zealand called Waipu in Northland, so i'm keen as to see your journey. It'll also be really cool to see you come from Fiji. I work at an engineering company where there was an old tradesman that built his boat and sailed to Fiji and then to Australia in the 80's. So it would be cool catch an idea of what he did through watching your channel. Cheers.
Wow, incredible..beautiful….grand. Thank you for filming a place that I can only see through your eyes!
Incredible spot!!! Thank you. But by the looks of it you used a Go Pro to film this and you are getting severe pixilation every minute or so !! Most frustrating! Take a look!
Where is this again?
great job !
So beautiful
Would a goal zero and solar panels not be enough?
Love the videos where you explain your thought process. I really want to sail on my own someday so these videos have been great to learn from!
He is in the ocean and it says desert paradise. Lol.
No one's there, because of the one eyed red haired giant lives there. Sleeps during the day I hear.😮
Clean sea water like that does amazing things to my system
Where was the general vicinity of this paradise?
Thanks for keeping it simple dude! Videos are solid
😂😂😂 your out of food ... Yeah Nah you got a ocean full of food right under you lol 😉😆
Greetings from Texas ✌️ This was really fun to watch, thanks for sharing. I doubt I was anywhere as excited to see land as you were after being at sea that long, alone no doubt, but I felt pretty excited and happy for you man once you turned the camera towards Tahiti. What a badass. Respect
18:34 Chocolate :D 🍫
Good to follow your journey - I have for a while. Thank you. Hope your new generator arrives soon. Regards, phil 🇬🇧
I just ran across your channel, Garrett, and have to say I'm shocked that the Pacific Ocean's waves don't pulverize you. I have to assume you chart things very, very carefully as I have seen cruise videos where the waves would reach the 4th and 5th floors of 1000 foot cruise ships.
Try going to island where filmed The film is an outcast, it is great idea.I would love to watch this video
Excellent videos by the way
Eat more real butter. The acne will clear up
another great vid
Catch fish. With rod man
Wow, what a beautiful video. Very impressive Garrett--your sailing, navigation, video, and electronic knowledge at such a young age. This is my first time tuning in to your channel--will be a faithful viewer . . . 😊 Thank you!

You have to catch fish so you can eat. Sir
One of my favorite if not favorite sailing channels😃 Respect !

What's the coast Guard helicopters phone number in Hawaii what's your xipcode sir. May I ask. 😊
Isn’t it wonderful to be alone on an island. Brings back memories of our cruising in the 80’s.
Awesome video man watching you sail q baot made me want one and I have been looking for one to get so I can sail it around the world because that's something I've always wanted to do is see the world and you help Mr figure out how I can do it so thank you for everything keep up the great work man
I swear you are my long lost twin iv grown up sailing and racing sail boats my whole life
maybe you needed a suitcase type container for your generator . Water proof
how do you sail up wind? motor? man you are one brave soul. I love watching these, people doing things id never do lol
Send that generator to Honda along with this video. They do have a bit of pride and depend on the spirit of people like you to underpin their mission. Maybe they will stand up for their product, and more importantly- you.
Desert paradise? That looks pretty lush and tropical with high rainfall. More like a tropical paradise.
The ups and downs of travelling, especially like this on the sea! Nice that you enjoy Aitutaki a bit better, enjoy the company and being able to speak to people haha
Can anyone else spot the immense amount of damage that has been done to these once beautiful atolls by rising sea levels thanks to man made climate change? Its more obvious when Garret puts his drone up, those acres of rocks around the central lagoon used to be pristine Motus, (islands on coral atolls) now the vegetation, dirt and sand is being stripped away by storms that now sweep across the motus, do what you can people to reduce your carbon footprint.
